Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Manager
Help incident responders around the world. Collaborate in a supportive, high-impact team and grow as we shape Europe’s leading incident response platform.
Job description
We are looking for an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Manager to lead our team and scale our operational and technical capabilities.
You will manage the Infrastructure & Cloud team (DevOps and SRE), acting as both technical leader and people manager. You will drive infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives, improve operational excellence, and build strong Developer Experience as an internal product — making infrastructure, CI/CD, tooling, and environments easier to use so developers can move faster and work with more autonomy.
This role is key to ensuring our platforms become more resilient, secure, scalable, and simple to operate. You will also act as a tactical relay for the VP Infrastructure & Security.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Infrastructure & Cloud team, currently composed of devops and SRE.
Support, coach, and develop team members to increase technical maturity, autonomy, ownership, and operational excellence.
Act as a technical leader on infrastructure, cloud, platform, reliability, automation, and architecture topics.
Drive major transformation initiatives across infrastructure and cloud environments.
Help define and execute the Infrastructure & Cloud roadmap in alignment with company priorities, product needs, security requirements, and business ambitions.
Ensure the reliability, resilience, security, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency of internal and customer-facing infrastructure.
Strengthen operational processes, including incident management, change management, on-call practices, monitoring, alerting, backup and restore, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and post-incident reviews.
Improve observability practices through metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, SLOs, and operational KPIs.
Promote a strong production mindset across the team and with Engineering, Product, QA, Data, Security, and Support teams.
Lead or support cloud migration, architecture modernization, automation, and infrastructure transformation projects.
Improve Developer Experience by making infrastructure, environments, CI/CD workflows, and platform services more reliable, simple, secure, and efficient.
Ensure strong collaboration between Infrastructure & Cloud, Engineering, Security, QA, Data, Product, and Customer Support teams.
Help structure team rituals, priorities, delivery follow-up, documentation, technical standards, and operational governance.
Contribute to FinOps practices by improving cost visibility, cost optimization, capacity planning, and cost-aware decision-making.
Provide clear communication to leadership on risks, priorities, incidents, roadmap progress, and operational maturity.
Success criteria - 6 to 12 months
The Infrastructure & Cloud team has a clearer operating model, priorities, ownership model, and delivery rhythm.
Team members have grown in autonomy, technical maturity, and accountability.
The role is recognized as a strong technical leader.
Operational processes have improved, especially incident management, change management, monitoring, documentation, and post-incident reviews.
Infrastructure reliability, observability, security, performance, and operational maturity have measurably improved.
The team has started or delivered key transformation initiatives on internal infrastructure for Developer Experience.
Collaboration with Engineering, Security, QA, Data, Product, and Support teams is smoother and more structured.
Critical infrastructure knowledge is better shared, documented, and no longer concentrated on too few individuals.
The team has better visibility on KPIs such as availability, MTTR, change failure rate, incident volume, alert quality, cost, delivery progress, and operational risks.
The company has more confidence in the Infrastructure & Cloud team’s ability to support scale, customer trust, and product ambitions.
Requirements
Management & leadership skills
Proven experience managing infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, or SRE teams.
Ability to coach engineers at different seniority levels and drive transformation pragmatically.
Strong communication skills; able to explain technical risks and trade-offs to various audiences.
Creates clarity in complex environments; builds trust with engineers, peers, and leadership.
Technical skills
Strong background in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or SRE.
Solid experience operating production environments (reliability, availability, security).
Strong knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud platforms; comfortable with hybrid/on-premise environments.
Experience with IaC, CI/CD, automation, observability, incident management, and disaster recovery.
Good understanding of Linux, networking, security fundamentals (IAM, secrets, hardening, patching).
Experience with Developer Experience or platform engineering is a strong plus.
Soft skills
Structured, pragmatic, impact-driven, and accountable.
Strong collaboration mindset across Engineering, Security, QA, Data, Product, and Support.
Comfortable balancing operational pressure with long-term transformation goals.
You might feel hesitant to apply if you don’t match 100% of the requirements. This list is a guide, we encourage you to apply even if you are a partial match. We are building teams that innovate, not teams that simply tick every box.
